The Yellow-crowned EuphoniaEuphonia luteicapilla is in the Finch family of seed-eating songbirds. It is found in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama and is perhaps the most common euphonia in its range. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and heavily degraded former forest. This bird was photographed at the Esquina Rain Forest Lodge.
