The female Rufus Hummingbird Selasphorus rufus is the genus where females have a reddish (rufus) abdomen, white chest and a dark pigmented splotch on the throat.
The males are distinguished by having a rufus abdomen, tailfeathers and back as shown well in the first three photos.
The remaining photos are of females which seem to be more common in the field.
