The Least Tern Sterra antillarum is smaller than other terns and is characterized by a white triangle with the tip at the upper base of the bill and the base along the forehead. In breeding season from March to August, the bill is organs with the black tip. These photos were taken at the Least Tern breeding colony at the Bolsa Chica Sanctuary in Huntington Beach, Ca.
