The Black-billed GullChroicocephalus bulleri is endemic to New Zealand. Its habitats include rivers, freshwater lakes and marshes. It is present on both Islands but more prevalent on the South Island. Photos 486 - 498 were taken on the south shore of Lake Anau at Te Anau on the South Island. Photo 2677 was taken at Rotorus on the North Island.
As the name says they have a black bill and black legs. The eye ring is rust colored.
