The Swallow-tailed Kite Elanoides forficatus belongs to the subfamily of Elaninae (white-tailed kites). Kites are rapters with long wingspans and often-stark black and white coloring. The Swallow-tailed Kite has a white body and black wings from above and black primaries and secondaries from below.
