The Spotted DoveStreptopelia chinersis (2693) has black and white spots on the nape of its neck, instead of the stripes of the Zebra Dove. It has a red iris and red feet. The Spotted Dove was introduced to Hawaii from India and Southeast Asia in the 1800s. It has also been called the Lace-necked Dove and Chinese Dove. It is considerably larger than the Zebra Dove but the cooing of the Zebra dove is louder.
