The Scarlet-headed BlackbirdAmblyramphus holosericeus is an icterid of the southern South American wetlands. This photo was taken in the Buenos Aires Zoo. The bill is oddly shaped: long, slender, and very sharp, looking almost upturned. They have a brilliant scarlet head and breast with the remainder of the plumage being black.
