The Croaking Ground Dove, Columbina cruziana, is in the Columbidae family. It is found in Chile, Ecuador and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland, and heavily degraded former forest.
It is a light colored dove with a distinctive bill that is black at the distal half and orange at the proximal half. This was photographed at Peter’s Hutten.
