The Chimango Caracara, Milvago chimango, is a bird of prey found throughout South America. It was very common on Easter Island. It has a cinnamon brown plumage. It is the smallest Caracara and its appearance is distinct from that of the Crested Caracara and Yellow-headed Caracara. It is typically found at edges of water and near towns and fields.
