Beesley's Lark (Chersomanes beesleyi) is a species of lark in the Alaudidae family. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland. It is rare, less than 100 birds remaining, and restricted to a small patch of dry shrubland in northern Tanzania.
We had two Massi guides to lead us to the birds. After tracking them for 45 minutes all around the tract, with only so-so photos, we got back in the van to leave, where upon two larks landed a few feet away providing great close-up photos.
