The Taracoles River runs along the north side of the Carara National Park. I remembered it from Lawson’s book describing the view of crocodiles from the bridge over the river. In fact, most of the tour boats emphasized the crocodiles rather than the birds. We stated the boat ride at 6 AM a great time for photography and birding.
Davey Frost was a fellow bird photographer we first meet a Selva Vera, then again at Bosque de Paz. He surpirsed us again showing up on the Taracoles River.
