The Great CurassowCrax rubra is a large, pheasant-like bird from the Neotropics. Within the genus Crax, only the Great Curassow ranges north through Central America as far as Mexico. There is considerable sexual dimorphism with the male being predominately black while the female has a brown body and grey head and neck. Both look like they have had a bad hair day.
