Oschracous Pewee
The Ochraceous Pewee Contopus ochraceus, is in the Tyrannidae family of tyrant flycatchers. It is found in Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
It is a rare bird. This one was photographed at Paraiso Quetzel. Jim told us that if we wanted to brag about any of the birds we photographed the Resplendent Quetzel would not impress a true Costa Rica birder, but the Ochraceous Pewee would.
