The Great EgretArtea alba is all white, very tall and has a very long neck. An important and easy distinction from the smaller Snowy Egret is the present of yellow feet on the Snowy Egret, These photos were taken at the rookery in the northeastern corner of the Smith Woods Sanctuary at High Island. During mating season they has a green face. Photo 8652 show the rookery in the evening after most of the Roseate Spoonbills have flown off.
