Sally Lightfoot Crabs provide dramatic splotches of red all across the lava intertidal fields of the Galapagos. There are often dozens of them in a small patch of lava (photo 1703). They are surprisingly agile accounting for the term "lightfoot." This Sally is the vulture of the shoreline, consuming dead birds and fish (photo 8372).
