The KilldeerCharadrius vociferous is a common plover frequenting public places such as golf courses and parks. It has a distinctive pair of black bands on the breast. It gets it name from its call which sounds like “teewdew,” "didideeer, didideeer" or killdeer. The 300 series photos wer taken at the Denver Zoo.
