The Red Jungle Fowl (Moa) Gallus Gallus (first four photos) is easily confused with chickens Gallus domesticus. It is the first bird introduced to the Hawaiian Islands. They interbreed extensively with chickens changing the bright red feathers to a mixture of whites (remaining photos except for the chicks). They are especially common around the area of the Köke’e Museum in Kauai.
