The Musk LorikeetGlossopsitta concinna is native to New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. There are only three species in its genus: the Musk Lorikeet, Little Lorikeet, and the Purple-crowned Lorikeet. It is a member of the much larger tribe of Lorini - Lories and lorikeets.
It is mainly green and is identified by its red forehead, red ear coverts, blue crown and a distinctive yellow band on its wing.
