Godwits are large birds with long bills and legs that are known to migrate long distances. They belong to the order Charadriiformes (small to medium-large birds that live read water), the family Scolopacidae (waders, sandpipers), and the genus Limosa (godwits). There are four species in the genus Limosa. Photographs are presented for the Marbled Godwit.
