The Bar-headed GooseAnser indicus is an Indian and Asian Goose. It is one of the highest-flying Geese in the world with records as high as 30,000 feet, enough to accompany a commercial jetliner. It has to fly this high because it migrates over the Himalayas. During breeding season it lays three to eight eggs on a ground nest. Its range above and below the Himalayas is shown in the map.
