The habitat of the Western BluebirdSialia mexicana is described as places whenever trees and open ground mix. Nothing fits this description like a golf course and this is where these were photographed, Crystalaire Golf Course, Llano, CA. A group of about a dozen bluebirds were flitting from the trees to the ground. The males are blue all over except for a blush of reddish feathers on the back. The females 9887 have the same feathers on the back but the body is grey.
