The Laysan Albatross (Moli) Phoebastria immutabilis has a six foot wingspan allowing it to effortlessly glide through the air and stay aloft for thousands of miles at a time. These were photographed at their nesting site near the lighthouse at Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge. Most of these photos show the black band and the end of the tail and photos 2806, 2841 and 2880 show the white feather stripes at the wing tips.
